The suicide truck bomber in Baghdad hid his explosives with dates. Worshipers were filtering out of the tiny mosque when the bomber struck. One witness said the explosion would have killed even more people if not for concrete barriers set in front of the mosque.
“The barricades were moved from their place by the force of the explosion,” said Oday Mohammed, 26.
When Newsweek publishes this false story about Korans, there are massive protests.
When newspapers publish cartoons like the one below, there are massive protests.
When a jihadist terrorist blows up a mosque…there are, uh, well, no protests.
Why no protests? Maybe its OK for a lion of Tahweed to blow up a holy place.
Maybe it is OK for a lion of Tahweed to blow up a holy place in hopes of causing a sectarian civil war in Iraq that will be covered by the LA Times.
The silence in dar al Islam to the repeated desecration and destructions of Mosques by Muslims, when they are so willing to protest any other offense at Islam is a question rarely, if ever probed by the media.
If the curious silence was analyzed, then the public would learn that the other protests are violent political publicity stunts aiming at a distinct policy outcome: Capitulation.
But don’t expect the LAT to ask CAIR or any California Imams for their opinions about Muslims blowing up mosques.
Sure, CAIR is concerned about possible hate crimes and vandalism of mosques, but only if those mosques are in North America.
Muslim on Muslim violence and desecration of Korans and mosques are given a pass because a civil war in Iraq would be bad for the coalition and therefore good for dar al Islam, never mind how many mosques would be destroyed, Korans desecrated or innocent Muslims killed.
Maybe the LAT hasn’t noticed this double standard. Or, maybe they have, but like jihadists and CAIR, realize that pointing the double standard out would undermine the effectiveness of the violent political publicity stunts and thwart the drive to capitulation.
