Just as Bush and Cheney should not have claimed in late May and beyond in 2003 that there was proof of biowarfare vans when it had been determined there were not. Of course Gen Sinsecki (spelling?) did speak up and was shuffled out sending a message to others. Of course I won't even get into what Colin Powell is now saying. Most of us who were not sure about Iraq being a serious threat to our nation made up our minds after Powell on 2/5 at the UN which he now says he knew to be untrue. The real agenda that led us to this debacle in Iraq will not be known for years. What we now know is that we, the citizens were lied to to gain and maintain our support. As we have already had more troops killed this month than all of last month is not the fault of those who lied, it is ours for so easily beliving them. After my medical discharge in 1972 I swore I would not be fooled again. I was and I accept that responsibility. I agree the General should have spoken up.
