The PR Offensive Rolls Along
I think it is pretty obvious that this has been a planned and well exeucted PR blitz by the retired O-8 & O-9 Club.
Their PR blitz has confirmed one thing for this former enlistedman: We have too many Generals.
Maybe we should give them one last award, a going away cermony or ask if they want to be Company Commanders again?
But then again-they would be company commanders with very little actual combat experience.

Meanwhile,
Back In Iraq….
While some retired Generals launched a PR campaign to oust Rumsfeld, those still in the fight–
–Captured 2 Terrorist and Killed 2 more. One of those killed was wearing, ironically enough, a suicide vest.
–Confirmed that coaltion forces killled Abu Umar al Kurdi, who had ties to- Jaysh al Islami, Ansar al Sunnah, Taliban members in Afghanistan , Pakistani-based extremists, and al Qaeda senior leaders to include Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri.
–And found several weapons caches
Of course these are just the successes in which a notification and report made it up through a half dozen layers to CPIC.
And the vast majority of Soldiers and Marines were bored. And most Iraqis went about their lives.
