Unintentionally Funny
From the Washington Post
Headline:
Family of Guantanamo Detainee Doubts He Took His Own Life
From the story:
“He had memorized the Koran by heart. He was a strong believer. How could he take his own life and spend eternity in hell?” asked his sister Sohayla, alluding to Islam’s punishment for suicide.
From the Washington Post, on June 13:
“The first attack occurred early in the morning when a suicide attacker drove a car into the house of Col. Taha Salahudeen, chief of the biggest police station in central Kirkuk.”
Or how about this from the Washington Post June 8:
Nov. 9: Triple suicide bombing against hotels in Amman, Jordan, killing 60.
Feb. 28: Suicide car bomber strikes crowd of police and Iraqi National Guard recruits in the southern city of Hillah, killing 125 people.
March 2: Coordinated blasts from suicide bombers, mortars and planted explosives strike Shiite Muslim shrines in Karbala and Baghdad, killing at least 181. U.S. and Iraqi officials link the attacks to al-Zarqawi.
Obviously a devout Muslim would never take his own life. I mean, its not like there is track record of it or anything in the respectable newspapers like the Washington Post.
