In Other News From Iraq….
The networks had full coverage of an Army soldier arrested for raping then murdering an Iraqi woman and three of her family members.
My first thoughts, as someone who has stood at plenty of check points in Iraq was what the !@#$, wasn’t there a %^&* NCO around?
Drinking *&$# booze while outside the wire? And they brought along a change of black non-military clothes?
If they are guilty, then a firing squad is in order. And the chain of command from Squad Leader to Platoon Commander need to get booted out.
My second thought was, why do the networks only put together the 2 minute 45 second package complete with animations when coalition forces are accused of a crime?
Why don’t we ever see the animation of this…
Or this…
I could rant and rave, but I think we all know why we will never see the long package and animation about a successful operation in Iraq.
In other news, the Central Criminal Court of Iraq convicted 11 insurgents, one them a would be car bomber.

Hey, I’ve spent 18 months there as a contractor, retired military, and it’s got worse and worse since I was first there in fall 2003, that’s why. Rebuilding efforts have been half-assed and wasted HUGE amounts of money - that’s another story that’s not being covered much either.
This Mahmoudiyah rape stinks of a cover-up. Green gets discharged with an honorable discharge for “anti-social personality disorder,” otherwise known as psychopathic or sociopathic personality disorder.
Well, what did he do that made his chain of command aware he was a psychopath? Kill stray cats? Not take baths? I doubt it - they knew he’d set this up and hustled him out of there quickly and quietly.
Lucky he didn’t do something serious, like get caught with pot in his piss, then he would have got court-martialed.
