With the hard, factual evidence that many of the images coming out of Lebanon and Palestine are frauds, is it hard to believe that much of what local stringers produce in Iraq is also staged?

As one who has spent a little time watching real combat operations through a camera lens, I believe I have some authority to say that too many of the images we see in print and on TV news are staged.

When bullets are really flying, and I was shooting from a stationary position, I was, like everyone else, taking cover.

Which meant the lens and a bit of my helmeted head were looking over or around a hopefully bullet proof object.

When real bullets are flying, no one is standing around with a camera on their shoulder.

When you are in a tense sitution and the bullets are real, and it comes time to move, you move fast.
